Mess(y) in Marra
Attending a wedding abroad in Marrakesh, at the Four Seasons, sounds very cool right - it was.
All the boys, in one place and celebrating our friend’s wedding. The vibes were immense.
It was planned for late December. Which meant escaping English weather for a few days, swapping the snow for sun rays.
If you’ve read any of the other posts - which I’m sure you have, you know I take the reigns when it comes to any of the planning for the trips. This one was different, as it was only 2.5 days we were out there, and one night was a dinner with the guys and the next was the wedding. So not a lot of activities to plan in-between.
The main aspect to this trip was more to relax however, which meant booking a hotel which brought that element.
Marrakesh has some great hotels, having stayed at the Sofitel a couple of years earlier. This time around, I decided for the CR7 hotel (Cristiano Ronaldo Hotel). For those who don’t know CR7 – get to know.
For those who do – you’re likely thinking that is very cool.
And it was cool, the hotel had opened 3 months prior to us arriving, everything was pristine, food was good and it was located in this cool/modern neighbourhood. Yet, one thing was missing.
The pool.
Well, they had a pool, but it was under refurbishment, some delays in construction meant I flew to a country with hot weather and was deprived the chance to dive into a pool.

Was this going to bring me and broski down? Nah.
We needed a Plan B.
Which led to a hilarious story around how my mate and I (BoA) snuck into the Four Seasons pool area with the groom as collateral. We played it off as if we were staying there, leading to each interaction with their staff being incredibly awkward and stifled by silence and random facial expressions.
Documenting that story in this post had to be shared. It was something with we always look back on and laugh – which ultimately is what most of your travel stories should be.
Some dope pictures of the trip. I think the majority of the trip was spent in either Buddah Bar or The Four Seasons.
As mentioned, the trip centered around my mates wedding, the second time attending a wedding abroad, can you guess the first? Ding ding - Pakistan.
This was different though, all the guys together and the wedding was undeniably the longest I’ve probably been too, starting around 7pm and finishing at 3pm.
There were around 5 starter rounds, 3 mains and endless desserts - like bruh.
The vibes were immaculate though, never had I seen a wedding cake cut at 2am or a camera/video setup similar to that of Mission Impossible movie.
Having visited Morocco now three times, I definitely was intending to take a break, until we went to Agadir as a family the following summer. I think Rabat and Casablanca will be the next destination if I return.
Shout Out to The Four Seasons for an incredible day.
